The food here is finger-licking good, it looks amazing, it tastes amazing, it’s just perfect, real, full of different spices that form a rich bouquet, an harmonious symphony. Honestly I couldn’t believe that a restaurant in a mall could serve such honest food that tastes like it was made by someone who is passionate about cooking. Served almost immediately after ordering by such sweet, attentive people. No alcohol here, it’s a halal restaurant, but the drinks are equally amazing, refreshing, sweet, sweet and sour, sweet and salty. Don’t miss the es campur. They have this amazing soup with beef or fish with chillies and tamarind, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu.

My friend who lives in Jakarta brought me here and it was full house when we went on a weekday for lunch! This despite it raining heavily outside too. So it’s good to make reservations (which we did) Food was so delicious. The fried fish with the candle nut sweet sauce was my fave, but the corn fritter was amazing too. It’s on a the third floor of Lotte mall along with other food places - just take the escalators nearest to the mall’s taxi drop off point to L3.

Back to Jakarta this time & first time visiting the restaurant. Wonderful experience and food! Everything we ordered are absolutely delish and taste authentic. My most favourite dishes are the soto betawi and the nasi bakar. We will return next time!
